India is a Union of States and Union Territories. India has 28 states and 7 Union Territories. Delhi is the capital of India. India got freedom on 15 Auguest, 1947. It is 7th largest country in terms of area and 2nd most populous country in world.
India cover the distance from north to south is 3214 km and from east to west is 2933 km. India total cover the 2.4% of earth surface i.e. 32,84,263 square km.
